Kyle McClellan


Kyle played professional baseball for 12 years. While in Major League Baseball, playing for his hometown team, he realized the importance of using his platform to bettering others and his community. While in MLB he was actively involved in the MLB Players union as a representative and contributed to many causes off the field. Upon his retirement from the MLB is when Kyle had the inspiration to create a public non-profit for helping youth locally and internationally. Brace for Impact, 46 was then created and established.


Bridget McClellan

Executive Director

After earning her Business degree, Bridget started a career in advertising. She retired to take on the ever-changing baseball life with Kyle and raise their family. She has always had a heart for serving and spear-headed many fundraising events within Kyle’s career. Bridget owns a home-based business while she and Kyle manage Brace for Impact, 46 and raise their two children, Olivia & Rhett together.


Jeanette Bax-Kurtz, CPA


Jeanette is the Director of Not-for-Profit and Regulatory Services for Mueller Prost. Her considerable knowledge base has been the source of assistance for many directors, trustees, government agencies, owners and legal consultants in solving challenges in a dynamic environment.

Jeanette began her career in public accounting in 1985. Her focus on not-for-profit organizations and highly regulated industries makes Jeanette a sought after educator and speaker. She frequently teaches courses for the AICPA, conducts seminars for Allinial Global, and is a guest lecturer at various universities and other organizations. In addition to her work in audit, tax and consulting, she specializes in financing issues and tax credits in the non-profit and regulatory industries. Her depth of experience includes bonds, HUD loans, Federal and State grants, low income housing tax credits (LIHTC), new market tax credits, youth opportunity program credits (YOP), neighborhood assistance programs (NAP) and other credits.

Her book of business includes state-wide organizations, nation-wide organizations, and stretches globally into five of the seven continents. Jeanette is a past trustee and school board member for a local church and school. She also devotes a considerable amount of time to providing services and volunteering for a variety of charitable organizations.


Michael Brown


Michael Brown has been helping clients plan for their retirement and understand their finances for more than 20 years. While gaining a broad base of experience and knowledge as a financial literacy teacher and a mortgage planner with a commercial development team, Michael became a valuable advisor to his clients when he took a longer term approach to their risk management goals and objectives. Licensed to sell a variety of financial services products, Michael enjoys working with clients who might not understand the value of continuously reviewing their existing plans to find better opportunities and ensure that they are on the right path.

Michael is currently the director of the St. Charles office and also serves on the Krilogy Athletic Advisory Group where he guides athletes through their entire professional and post-professional life cycle.

Michael is also dedicated to ensuring his community is just as strong as his clients’ finances. He gives back as a member of Morning Star Church, a founding board member of Brace for Impact with former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Kyle McClellan. He currently sits on the board for the Huntington’s disease Society of America St. Louis Chapter, Board member for Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Speaker for St. Charles County Senior Initiative and Speaker for University of Missouri Financial Planners Program and University Athletic Program.

Michael continues to remain actively involved in the St. Charles community, where he resides with his wife, Michele. Their 21-year-old daughter, Jordan, attends Mizzou.


Nick Burkhart


Nick Burkhart, Board Member and General Counsel of Brace for Impact 46, is responsible for managing all of the foundation’s legal needs, and providing strategic guidance to support the foundation’s initiatives.

Nick is an attorney at Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard, a St. Louis-based law firm where his practice focuses on real estate and corporate transactional legal matters. Nick regularly assists business owners throughout the lifecycle of a company, from entity formation, contract drafting and various corporate transactions and stock purchases through mergers and acquisitions and business succession planning. He is also highly experienced in real estate matters, working with developers on land acquisition and development, financing and deal structuring, redevelopment strategies, and supporting real estate investors with acquisitions and leasing.

Outside the office, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and growing family exploring the great outdoors, and traveling internationally. Nick is also an avid golfer and skier.


Dr. Mark F. Hilton, DDS


Dr. Mark Hilton D.D.S. has practiced general dentistry in Florissant, MO Since 1984. He and his wife Lisa run a very successful practice and have heart for giving back. Dr. Hilton has been involved in a number of charitable causes in the past. To name a few, Evangelical Children's Home, Bellefontaine Home for Handicapped Children, Fr. Dempseys Charities, Halfway House for Alcohol and Drug Addicted Teens. He has treated at no cost many less fortunate people. It's been amazing the number of great things that have come from providing this service.

In March of 2016, Dr. Hilton and his two adult children traveled to Cap Hatien, Haiti with Kyle and Bridget as a part of a Brace for Impact, 46 mission trip. It was life changing. Dr. Hilton is honored to be a part of the Board of Directors. The families have had a connection for many years. He agrees with the vision and approach both in Haiti and North St. Louis. He knows that in twenty years we will be able to see and enjoy the accomplishments of Brace for Impact now.


Tim Spihlman


Tim Spihlman joined Vi-Jon in January 2013 as Chief Financial Officer with more than twenty years of experience directing financial and operational functions across a diverse group of industries. In September 2015, Tim was promoted to President, assuming responsibility for all company activities.

Prior to joining Vi-Jon, Tim was Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Analysis for Solutia Inc., a global manufacturer of performance materials and specialty chemicals. In this role, Tim was responsible for developing and executing the global growth initiatives for the Company. Previously, he served as Solutia’s Vice President – Corporate Controller and Information Technology and had global responsibility for these functions. During his Solutia tenure, Tim was part of the executive management team that significantly grew the earnings profile of the company, culminating in an 80 percent increase in market capitalization at the time the company was sold to Eastman Chemical. While at Solutia, Tim also served for two years on the Board of Directors of Flexsys, a joint venture between Solutia and Akzo Nobel, and was instrumental in Solutia’s acquisition of Akzo’s ownership interest in 2007.

Earlier in his career, Tim was Vice President of Finance at CoreExpress, Inc., a venture capital backed-technology company, and spent more than seven years in the public accounting industry with Ernst & Young, serving both public and private companies across a wide variety of industries.

Tim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Bradley University.
